Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This armed and driving position involves conducting routine patrols, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining strong communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any security-related hazards or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and the general public.
• Collaborate with local authorities and/or emergency services as needed during critical incidents or emergencies.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
