Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with 1 year of recent L&D experience and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
Responsibilities
- Work in a busy hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- May float to antepartum, OB ED areas, or mother/baby unit as needed
- Night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Potential to float between Elk Grove Village and Hoffman Estates locations to support a shared service line
- Responsibilities include care of laboring and postpartum patients in a high-volume setting
- Floating may be required among L&D, mother/baby, and OB ED units
- Holiday and every other weekend coverage required
- Scrub/dress code details will be provided upon assignment
- Local candidates are accepted but will be subject to a reduced pay rate based on radius requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
- Only one application allowed across all open Ascension positions at a time
Requirements
- Active RN license with primary source verification and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics required
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration
- Submission requires 2 separate professional references, copies of certifications and driver’s license
