Overview:We are seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist to provide comprehensive obstetric care on a 24-hour shift basis. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing OB triage, deliveries, emergency gynecology cases, and consults. With an average of 1-4 deliveries per shift, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and high-quality care for mothers and babies. The hospital features a Level II NICU, enabling you to handle complex cases with confidence. Required Skills:- Valid and unrestricted medical license in California
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven experience managing OB triage, deliveries, and gynecological emergencies
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience in a Level II NICU setting
- Previous hospitalist or inpatient obstetric care experience
- Bilingual abilities, particularly Spanish, to assist diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of current OB protocols and best practices
Preferred Education and Experience:- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience in a hospital setting
- Recent ACLS and NRP certifications (or willing to acquire before start)
Other Requirements:- Availability for 24-hour shifts (7 am 7 am)
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment
- Coverage for license, certification, and travel-related expenses when applicable
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
Competitive pay rate of $234.00 per hour, paid weekly via direct deposit, along with comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, licensing, certification, travel reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program.
