Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5, occasionally 1:5-6 on nights, or 1:3 for PCU level overflow
• Must have PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
• Care for adults and geriatric patients including cardiac catheterization, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, COVID BiPap, surgical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and sepsis
• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, medical-surgical for full assignment, and some ER holds/boarding
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation on Friday and Saturday of first week
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Work with RT equipment including BiPap, trachs, and airvo
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• BSN not required
• Trauma Level 2 facility

This acute care medical center operates a 32-bed progressive care unit focused on telemetry and cardiac care. The facility maintains a trauma level 2 designation and provides comprehensive medical services with advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities. The unit features modern telemetry equipment with portable monitors and room-based monitoring systems, supported by dedicated telemetry technicians at the nurses' station.
