- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 4, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour Day Shifts, every Saturday and Sunday (8am – 8pm)
- Hours per Week: 24
- Setting: Field-based hospice nursing (not case management, no caseload)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (new travel nurses welcome)
- Clinical skills: IV therapy, chest tube maintenance, catheter insertion, tube feedings, wound care, pain and symptom management
- Experience with EMR documentation (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable providing nursing care in diverse community and home healthcare settings
- Conduct daily hospice nursing visits, PRN visits for symptom management, and routine patient care visits
- Deliver compassionate end-of-life care, prioritizing patient comfort and quality of life
- Perform clinical procedures: IV management, wound care, and medication administration
- Accurately document patient care in the EMR system
- Collaborate with hospice physicians, nursing team leads, and support staff
- Educate patients and families on hospice care plans and symptom management
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a field-based nursing environment
