Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Cardiac Stepdown
Job Details:
• Provide specialized nursing care for patients with advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension
• Care for patients with complex cardiac conditions including electrolyte imbalanced dysrhythmias and tachy-brady syndromes
• Monitor and care for patients awaiting heart transplants
• Manage patients with implantable devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and Ventricular Assistive Devices (VAD)
• Provide pre and post cardiac catheterization care
• Assist with ablation procedures and chemical cardioversion using anti-dysrhythmic medication Tikosyn
• Serve as backup for hospitalist services providing broader medical-surgical nursing experience
• Work in Lerner Tower 5 cardiac stepdown unit
• Must have experience with cardiac monitoring and advanced cardiac care procedures
