Med/Surg RN Job Details

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Pennsylvania nursing license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current and valid BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and perform prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with hospital policies
