Locum Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity in Mt Pleasant, MI

Join an esteemed medical group in Mt Pleasant, Michigan! This facility is seeking a dedicated Locum Emergency Medicine physician to provide coverage into 2026. With a mid-sized team and ample support staff, you will be an integral part of a community-focused emergency department, serving around 20,000 annual ER visits. The facility is equipped with 18 beds and utilizes Cerner for its EHR system.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population.
• Supervise mid-level providers during shifts.
• Respond to house codes and emergencies as needed.
• Write admission orders and facilitate patient admissions.
• Collaborate with hospitalists for effective patient management.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training activities.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with ER experience (2+ years).
• Clean background for quick credentialing.
• Must be local to Michigan with no exceptions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to meet the specified dates of coverage.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current Michigan Medical License (no IMLC accepted).
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (for non-EM boarded physicians).
• BLS certification.
