1. Diagnosis and Evaluation- Assess children with birth defects, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and genetic syndromes.
- Interpret family history and assess hereditary risks.
- Conduct physical examinations to identify genetic disorders.
- Order and interpret genetic tests (e.g., chromosomal analysis, whole exome sequencing).
- Explain genetic conditions, inheritance patterns, and risks to families.
- Discuss potential outcomes and implications of genetic disorders.
- Provide guidance on family planning options, including prenatal and carrier testing.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for children with genetic conditions.
- Collaborate with other specialists (neurologists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, etc.).
- Recommend therapies, medications, and lifestyle modifications as needed.
- Board certified or board eligible required.
- Oklahoma state license or willing to obtain required.
- 1 year of experience required.
