We are currently seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens position near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care with a mix of clinic hours and on-call responsibilities. The assignment is set to start October 28, 2024, and ends November 4, 2024, with additional on-call coverage needed at the end of December.

• Location: Near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania
• Start Date: October 28, 2024
• End Date: November 4, 2024 (Additional dates: December 30-31, 2024)
• Practice Setting: Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient coverage
• Call Hours:
  • Week-long call from 5 PM to 5 PM
  • Clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM during non-call days
  • Call coverage is also required for two days at the end of December
• Volume: 5-10 inpatient consults per day during on-call hours

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residency, in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship: Completed a Gastroenterology Fellowship
• License: Active Pennsylvania state license
• Certifications: BLS is required
• Skills & Procedures:
  • Upper and Lower GI endoscopy with biopsy
  • Foreign body removal
  • Fulguration of bleeders
  • ERCP (Diagnostic and Therapeutic)
  • Sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy
