The Neurology Physician provides specialized neurological care at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence within Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The role requires a valid medical license, completion of an accredited residency, and at least two years of recent clinical experience. Work is performed Monday through Friday with standard shifts and includes maintaining current Basic Life Support certification.

Site of Service:
The contractor shall provide personnel for services in support of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). The primary site of services shall be located at National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), Bethesda, MD.
Work Hours:
The WRNMMC NICoE hours of operation are between Monday through Friday with an uncompensated one-hour lunch break. Shifts will be 8 or 10 hours, for a 40-houir work week. Each employee will work with MedTrust s Staffing Coordinator in order to provide their availability, request leave/PTO.
Degree/Education: Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification. For physicians employed within the DoD, DHA, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health systems before January 1, 2017, successful completion of the Fifth Pathway is acceptable in place of ECFMG certification.
Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the AOA in the same specialty for which privileges are requested.
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Providers shall possess and maintain current course completion documentation for basic life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association recognized program.
Licensure/ Registration: A current, valid, unrestricted license as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Experience: At least two years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting within the past five years.
