A hospital-based Interventional Radiologist is needed to join a team providing advanced IR services including angioplasty, stent placement, and embolization with primarily adult patients. The position requires board certification, state medical licensure, and certifications in BLS and ACLS with a rotating call schedule. The role supports a multidisciplinary team in a Level I Trauma Center with a focus on urgent and elective procedures across multiple specialties.
Hospital is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist (MD) to join our 3-physician / 2-APP IR team in Lansing, MI providing hospital-based IR services with a day-shift schedule and Q3 call coverage.
Practice Setting: Hospital Based
Call Schedule: Q3 Call every third weekday and every third weekend
Call Ratio: 1 out of 3 Interventional Radiologists
Average Number of Cases Per Day: 8
Trauma Level/Designation: Level I
Annual ER Volume: Not specified
Description of IR Support Staff: Manager, two APPs supporting a team of three Interventional Radiologists
Number of Interventional Radiologists in Practice: 3 physicians + 2 APPs
Patient Age Demographic: Primarily Adult (Geriatric frequent)
Procedures Required:
- Angioplasty
- Stent placement
- Embolization
- Needle biopsy
- Thrombolysis
- UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization)
Additional Procedures Required or Preferred: Ortho, Gyn, Urology cases too
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days-however will fast track need ASAP
ALL MUST BE NOTATED AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR
- Board-Certified Radiologist: REQUIRED
- Active State Medical License (Michigan): REQUIRED
- BLS & ACLS Certifications: REQUIRED
- Local Provider Only (mileage reimbursement only): REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice & License History: HIGHLY PREFFERED
