Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with Idaho or compact license for night shifts and a minimum of 1-2 years experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
- Care provided for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Uses Epic EMR (experience preferred)
- Responsible for organizing and delivering patient care using the nursing process and established protocols
- Must demonstrate strong judgment, patience, and professionalism in a busy environment
- No travel pairs or groups will be considered
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and not allowed during the first week of orientation
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required
- Creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential
Requirements
- Current RN license in Idaho or compact state required at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- Strong computer skills including experience with electronic medical records
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; locals within 100 miles not eligible
- Former permanent staff must have at least 1 year separation before being considered as a traveler
