American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 3 years of inpatient and acute care experience for a multidisciplinary rehab team serving adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities- Work in an inpatient and acute care rehab setting
- Serve a diverse adult and geriatric patient population
- 5x8 day shifts from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday
- One weekend day per month required
- Part of a large multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, and SLP
- Patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy, 5 out of 7 days each week
- Fast-paced hospital and CARF-accredited rehab program for general, stroke, and amputee care
- First-time travelers with relevant experience are welcome
- Excellent teamwork with strong inter-disciplinary support
- Return staff must have a 1-year gap before reapplying as a traveler
- Locals within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate
- Modules and training are completed pre-start and during orientation
- No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with no time off during the first two weeks
- Dress code or scrub requirements not specified
- Current BLS certification required
- State OT license required if applicable
- Minimum 3 years of inpatient and acute care rehab experience required
- Experience with neurological cases (stroke and brain impairment) required
- Amputee care experience preferred
- Two supervisor references required
