We are seeking a board-certified Medical Oncologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in South Carolina, starting Feb 2, 2026. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with no call required during the locum period. The assignment focuses on oncology care and hematology, including participation on a Tumor Board and management of bone marrow transplant cases.
Job Details

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Call: No call during locum period; call required only if placed in a permanent role (1 week out of every 6-8 weeks)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Participate in Tumor Board meetings
- Manage bone marrow transplant cases
- Oversee blood bank procedures
- Order laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
- Prescribe appropriate oncologic therapies
- Supervise administration of chemotherapy by nurse oncologists
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology is required
- Active South Carolina license is required (providers seeking licensure will be considered)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
- Clean background required for emergency temp privileges
- Current NPDB required for presentation
