Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a PA or compact RN license, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in EPIC.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based Med/Surg unit
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays, with no RTO between Christmas and New Year's
- Will float to all Med/Surg floors and potentially to rehab
- May care for COVID patients
- Uses EPIC for charting
- Candidates must complete modules prior to start, which take approximately 5-6 hours
- Work environment is tobacco and fragrance free
- Must be able to care for both Med/Surg and rehab patients as needed
- Expected to follow hospital policies regarding patient care and safety
- A clinical assessment will be conducted prior to acceptance
- RTO must not exceed 7 days for the contract duration
Requirements
- Active PA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
- EPIC charting experience required
- No adverse license actions permitted
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel rates
