Physician Assistant or APRN w/ RNFA

Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to stay later when cases run over
Hours: 32 clinical hours + 8 administrative hours per week (40 hours total)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider to join our orthopedic service line. The APP will provide comprehensive orthopedic care across the operating room, inpatient, and clinic settings in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and the care team.

Key Responsibilities

• First-assist in orthopedic surgical cases
• Participate in inpatient rounding and ongoing patient management
• Provide outpatient clinic care, including pre- and post-operative visits and general orthopedic follow-up
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and other APPs to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
• Complete documentation, orders, and communication during dedicated administrative time

Workload & Team

• Average patient volume: 20 patients per day
• Team composition: 4 APPs in the orthopedic division

Call Requirements

• No OR call
• Practice call (phone only): approximately 1:4 weekday and weekend coverage

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or APRN with RNFA certification
• Orthopedic and/or surgical first-assist experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, procedural, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to extend hours as needed when surgical cases run over schedule
