This locum tenens position seeks a General Medicine Physician near Concord, NH, to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans under a government contract. The role involves interview-based medical evaluations without treatment or prescribing and requires proficiency in musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological assessments. Flexible work hours and quick onboarding are offered, with certification and state licensure mandatory.
We are actively seeking a General Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity near Concord, NH. This role involves performing Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans, as part of a government contract designed to support our nation's heroes.
This is a PRN position, meaning the work is on an as-needed basis, allowing you flexibility in your schedule. Ideal candidates will have experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or a general medicine background, particularly with knowledge of compensation and pension evaluations.
Responsibilities:- Conduct interview-based exams with limited physical assessments, including:
- Range of motion testing
- Muscle strength testing
- METs testing for evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Complete one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments
- No prescribing or treatment is required
- Quick credentialing and onboarding to get you started swiftly
- Must be familiar with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular evaluations
- Use of a goniometer is required for physical assessments
- Personal laptop needed (No Macbooks)
- Travel to perform exams at leased facilities or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Choose to work half-days (4 hours) or full-days (8 hours) depending on your availability and preference
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible
- New Hampshire state license required
- DMA certification available (CME credits offered); certification is required once privileged
- Training provided for completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
