Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a weekday inpatient assignment; NH or Compact PT license required.
Responsibilities
- Position is located in an inpatient physical therapy unit
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 8-hour day shifts with no on-call required
- Must be able to work throughout the facility as needed
- Responsibilities include patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and documentation according to regulatory and departmental standards
- Actively participates in developing both disciplinary and interdisciplinary team members
- Must demonstrate understanding of chronic illness and the impact of acute care episodes on patients and families
- Weekly orientation provided for all new hires
- Perm staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- Three references required upon commitment, with at least two from leadership
- 50-mile radius rule applies for local rate eligibility
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact PT license must be in hand at time of consideration; facility will not accept a temporary license
- Minimum of two recent professional references from management or leadership required
- Must demonstrate clinical competence in formal standardized testing and patient evaluation
- Ability to analyze and apply pertinent medical information including provider orders, lab values, and vital signs
