Job Details:
• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in hospital emergency department setting
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• One year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills needed
• Computer skills required
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
