We are seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help residents improve independence with daily activities and functional skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic activities focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, strength, and coordination
- Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with therapy protocols
- Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (must be current)
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
- Minimum experience: less than 1 year (new graduates encouraged to apply)
- No holiday coverage required
- Bilingual skills not required
