Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU night shift position in a fast-paced Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center requiring an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Neuro Transplant ICU within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes neurological and transplant critical care cases
- Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma environment
- Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required per policy
- Assume responsibility for a designated group of patients and deliver comprehensive nursing care
- Document patient responses and intervene as necessary based on clinical observations
- Assist physicians with examinations and perform minor procedures and treatments
- Administer medications, initiate and manage IV infusions, and transfuse blood products as needed
- Regular communication with patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- 50-mile radius rule in effect; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma or multistate compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of one year RN experience is required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
