A full-time Neonatologist is sought to provide specialized care in a Level-III NICU at a community hospital in Topeka, Kansas, supporting critically ill newborns. The role involves managing complex neonatal cases with access to multidisciplinary pediatric support and requires board certification in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join a dedicated 5-physician practice at a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Topeka, Kansas. This community-focused healthcare environment offers a supportive team atmosphere and a full range of services in a Level-III, 36-bed NICU. Job Responsibilities:- Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available
- Combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule; 1.0 FTE typically covers approximately 170 hours per month with in-house and backup call from home.
- Provide comprehensive care in a Level-III NICU that supports high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, total body cooling, and aEEG.
- Manage an average daily census of 26 and approximately 500 admissions annually.
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialty support in Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, and Endocrinology.
- Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies.
- Open to new Fellow graduate candidates who are board certified in Pediatrics.
- Not accepting Locums candidates; open to J1 & H1B visa candidates.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship working toward BC) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Kansas license (or willing to obtain)
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start)
- Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred)
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start)
- Kansas medical license (required)
- Board Certified in Pediatrics (required)
- Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (required)
- DEA certification (required prior to start)
- Visa support options available (J1 or H1B)
