MANTECH seeks a motivated, customer-oriented COMSEC Manager to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

The COMSEC Manager will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. You will provide day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting secure equipment and classified keying material inventories, inspections, and other COMSEC-related support functions.

  • Performing installation of secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinating the delivery of encryption devices and keying material to IT specialists.

  • Administering a Top-Secret inventory and document control program to account for COMSEC equipment and materials.

  • Conducting inventories per agency policy and reporting any discrepancies to the government customer.

  • Couriering classified information and authoring receipts for classified materials while ensuring compliance with AIS Security requirements.

  • Ensuring proper physical security accreditation has been issued for supported facilities by designated Program Security Officers.

  • Training personnel in COMSEC procedures and the effective use of related equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience (4 years).

  • 6+ years of experience

  • 4+ years in an SCI/SAR environment.

  • Must complete the COMSEC Manager’s course within six months of starting on the contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of COMSEC accountability, acquisition, maintenance, operations, and disposition procedures.

  • Familiarity with security policy manuals, including appropriate ICDs, JAFANs, and DOD manuals.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a SAR environment is highly desired.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and a high degree of initiative.

  • Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility via air and ground transportation.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI

  • Willingness to submit to a polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Must be able to lift approximately 25 – 40 pounds.
