- Floating is required
- Travelers will float between all Telemetry and Med/Surg units
- Depending on skillset, floating may include:
- ICU (within scope/competency)
- Cardiac Tele
- All Tele units
- Med/Surg units
- Holding areas (Cath Lab, ER, Observation, hallway holds)
- Floating occurs between:
- Chandler Campus
- Mercy Gilbert Campus
- Distance: 9 miles (≈15 minutes, all interstate)
- Notification of campus/unit provided 1.5 hours prior to shift start
- Mid-shift unit floating can occur
- Rare, but possible to float campuses mid-shift
- Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other
