Telemetry RN Job Details – Augusta, GA

• Assignment Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: February 23, 2026
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (16 rooms)
• Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Location: Augusta, GA 30901
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, as needed to other units
• Call Requirement: None

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be current at time of application)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (EHR) system
• Skilled in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
• Experience with ventilated patients, central line and PICC management, chest tubes, high-flow nasal cannula, and post-cardiac procedures
• Strong telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code team skills
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Ability to work required holidays during the assignment
• Two supervisory references preferred

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and vascular diagnoses, including CHF, MI, dysrhythmias, hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV therapy, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services)
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EHR
• Float to other nursing units as needed to support patient care during high census
• Participate in orientation and complete all required training modules
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
• Work every other weekend and required holidays as scheduled
