Responsibilities:- Clinical Coverage:
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies and upper endoscopies.
- Call Coverage:
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing expert consultation and treatment for gastroenterology cases.
- Patient Care:
- Manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and diseases.
- Round on unassigned patients as needed.
Qualifications:- Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Fellowship: Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship is required.
- Licensing: Must hold an active medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Certifications Required:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Hospital Privileges: Required, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 45-60 days.
- Temporary Privileges: Not available.
Additional Information:- Consultation Role: The Gastroenterologist will consult on both inpatient and outpatient cases, providing specialized care in gastrointestinal diseases.
- Holidays: Coverage may be required during major holidays, including New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
