The Banquet Chef leads culinary operations for fine dining and high-end banquet events within a luxury hotel, requiring creativity in menu development and strong leadership skills. The role involves managing a banquet culinary team, collaborating with sales and banquet staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Candidates must have significant culinary leadership experience and a personable, guest-facing demeanor.
We are a Luxury Hotel in search of our next Banquet Chef! Candidates must be highly organized and efficient, have great people skills and a guest-facing demeanor, and be able to juggle multiple parties simultaneously. Fine dining and high end banquet experience are required.
Banquet Chef Qualifications:
- 2+ years as a Banquet Chef in a luxury hotel environment
- 5+ years in a culinary leadership role
- Fine Dining experience required
- Must be highly creative and able to develop custom menus for discerning clientele
- Must be personable and have a good guest facing demeanor
- Must work well with others and collaborate on mutual goals
- Union experience a plus
Banquet Chef Responsibilities:
- Manage the banquet culinary team with consistency and integrity
- Work in concert with the culinary leadership on special events and promotions
- Work with sales on creating special menus and custom requests
- Work with the Banquet team on ensuring perfect event execution
- Create seasonal menus and offerings as instructed
- Other duties as assigned
