Job Description: Locum Physician - Critical Care
Located in Lima, Ohio, this facility is an established medical center dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare. The practice includes a 425-bed hospital and an 18-bed closed ICU, offering a supportive environment for critical care physicians. Job Responsibilities:
- Care for 18-24 critically ill patients in an inpatient setting.
- Perform weekend coverage including Friday evening/night call and Saturday/Sunday day rounds.
- Supervise and support health care providers involved in teaching IM, FM, and EM residents.
- Manage ventilation procedures: invasive and non-invasive methods.
- Perform required medical procedures, including central line insertion, arterial line insertion, and diagnostic taps (paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture).
- Utilize Epic as the documentation system for efficient record-keeping.
- Collaborate on care plans with fellow critical care physicians and residents.
- Engage in a varied practice setting encompassing cardiac, neuro, trauma, medical, and surgical cases.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Critical Care (Pulmonary or any variation preferred).
- Active Ohio State License.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Availability to indicate specific times for work commitments.
- COVID vaccination highly preferred.
- Flu vaccine required at time of credentialing.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Ohio State Medical License.
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Critical Care.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
