American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position with critical care and recent trauma experience in a high-acuity setting.
Responsibilities- Work in an 18-bed ICU within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis patients
- Advanced hemodynamic and ICP monitoring required
- Care for ventilated patients and administer pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications
- Assist with line insertion, maintenance, and management of lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
- Perform ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, EVD, and PA line waveform interpretation
- Schedule includes day and night rotations for 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include advanced ICU care, critical interventions, and support of complex patient needs
- Position involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- First time travelers are considered if all requirements are met
- Compliance with all licensure and certification requirements is mandatory for consideration
- Active NH or compact RN license required and must remain active throughout assignment
- Current BLS certification required
- Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma ICU experience within the last 2 years
- Critical care skills in advanced monitoring, ventilator management, and vascular access required
- 75-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible
