The ideal candidate will provide outpatient general medical care to the inmate population, deliver diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic care, supporting the institution's goal of effective and cost-contained healthcare. Perform routine and emergency medical procedures. Order and interpret laboratory and radiological tests. Prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols. Maintain medical documentation. Evaluate new inmates within 14 days of arrival and determine treatment plans. Manage chronic care patients following established clinical practice guidelines. Coordinate with specialty providers and refer as appropriate. Provide input on medical supplies and assist in procurement. Respond to medical emergencies. Support compliance with infection control and immunization policies. Additional duties as assigned by facility.
