Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatrician to join our growing Pediatric Hospitalist Team.
- 400+ bed Medical Center serving 23 counties in North East Arkansas
- 18 Pediatric Beds
- 40-50 pediatric patients per month
- 19 bed NICU, Certified Level IIIA
- 17 LDR Rooms, 1900 deliveries a year
- Team support: Daytime nurse practitioner for newborns, dedicated lactation team and family medicine residents for pediatric patients.
- Care Responsibilities include:
- Providing inpatient care to hospitalized pediatric patients and newborns.
- Provide backup and consultative services to UAMS NE Family Medicine Residency program with pediatric/newborn consults as needed.
- Provide consultative services to local community hospitals, ERs and clinics.
- Must be a physician leader in the areas of safety and quality.
- Ability to teach and be involved in academics (Residents and Medical Students)
- Assist ED Physician with admitting patients and other emergencies when in-house as needed
Pediatric Hospitalist hours: 12-hour shifts with calls from home - 216 shifts per year
