This role is for a travel Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Oncology Med-Surgical settings at a corrections health unit in Columbus, Ohio. CO : Inmate ratio = 1:2
Staff safety is a priority
Candidates must be comfortable working in a corrections environment
PCU: 1:3
Med-Surg: 1:4–5
? Some shifts will be PCU, others MS (mixed acuity)
Active oncology patients (solid tumor & hematology)
Oncology workups
History of cancer admitted for other conditions
Surgical procedures
COPD
Sepsis
Pneumonia
Abnormal labs
Non-oncology admissions as appropriate
2 years RN experience required
BLS required
ACLS & NIHSS preferred
Epic charting experience REQUIRED
Oncology experience preferred but NOT required
Compact or Ohio RN license required at submission

Cardiac telemetry & dysrhythmia management
Rapid Response / Code Team utilization
IV insulin protocols
Heparin protocols
PCA (no titration cardiac drips)
IV Therapy & Lines
Blood product administration
