Pediatrix is seeking an additional Neonatologist to join our outstanding group of Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at our Macon, Georgia practice. Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children s Hospital is the only dedicated pediatric hospital in central and south Georgia, equipped with a state-of-the-art 66-bed NICU. The facility offers high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and brain cooling. With an exceptional collaborative environment and readily available subspecialty support, this is a perfect opportunity for a dedicated physician innovating pediatric care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily rounding with patient care responsibilities.
- Provide care in a Level-III NICU environment.
- Work a schedule of 26 weeks per year, with one week on and one week off.
- Be on call from home every other night.
- Collaborate with experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.
- Engage in clinical education with Mercer Medical School.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Georgia medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to starting.
- Note: We do not accept locum tenens candidates or require visa support.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED).
- Current Georgia medical license or willingness to apply for one (REQUIRED).
- DEA registration necessary before start date (REQUIRED).
