Position Summary:
The Travel PCU RN provides care for patients in a step-down/progressive care setting, ensuring safe and effective nursing care. The RN may float to ICU as needed, depending on skills and manager assessment.
Requirements:
2+ years of Step-down or Progressive Care Unit experience preferred
Epic experience strongly preferred
NIHSS certification (only the 1-year certification accepted)
Ability to float to Critical Care/ICU if required
Responsibilities:
Provide patient care according to established protocols in a PCU/Step-down unit
Monitor and assess patients, implementing appropriate interventions
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
Float to ICU if assigned; rate will be determined based on whether ICU float is required
Shift Type: 12-hour nights
