Our client, a leading golf products company, is seeking a CNC Operator/Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Operator/Machinist, you will be part of the Engineering Technology department, supporting both R&D and production teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset that aligns well with the organization.
Job Title: CNC Operator/Machinist
Location: New Bedford, MA
Pay Range: Competitive + 10% shift differential (for second shift)
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
What’s the Job?

Set up and operate CNC Lathes, Mills, Wire EDM, and Ram EDM machines to fabricate parts for manufacturing equipment and golf ball mold cups

Adjust offsets, speeds, and feeds to meet tolerance and surface finish standards

Download programs and set up cutting tools and work-holding solutions (e.g., collets or jaws)

Conduct inspections using precision measuring tools to verify part conformance

Detect equipment malfunctions and make in-process adjustments to maintain quality

Perform routine preventive maintenance, including checking coolant, oil levels, and lubrication

Maintain a clean and safe work environment aligned with company safety standards
What’s Needed?
-
CNC Machinist training or completion of a CNC Machinist program at a technical school
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC setup, including lathes, 5-axis mills, and EDMs

Knowledge of blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators

Strong basic math and geometry skills

Ability to troubleshoot, modify programs, and adjust machine parameters

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
