We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in a hospital located in North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is looking for flexible work with a manageable patient load in a supportive environment. Here are the details of the assignment: Assignment Overview: Specialty: Emergency Medicine Start Date: March 2025 End Date: Ongoing Shifts Available: 12-hour shifts, including day and night shifts Facility Type: Hospital setting (both outpatient and inpatient care) Location: Near Fort Bragg, NC Provider Type: MD License Required: Must be licensed in North Carolina Key Requirements: Board Certification: Required in Emergency Medicine Certifications: ACLS ATLS BLS ABLS PALS NC Medicare & Medicaid enrollment Experience: Previous emergency medicine experience preferred Trauma Level: 0 (non-trauma center) Patient Volume: 90-100 patients daily; typically 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift Support Staff: 2 Advanced Practice Providers (no RN or MA support) EMR System: Meditech 6.1 Job Duties: Provide emergency medical care for patients in a fast-paced environment Work solo in the Emergency Department with a manageable patient load No supervisory duties for advanced practice providers Open ICU and no newborn deliveries in the ED Compensation and Benefits: Competitive locum tenens compensation Housing provided in hospital-owned apartments Travel expenses Insurance coverage provided by the vendor Additional Details: Temporary privileges available Credentialing time estimated at 2 weeks No admissions required during shifts Call coverage is not required This opportunity provides a chance to work in a supportive and structured setting with excellent work-life balance.
