This locum tenens position seeks a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to provide inpatient care in Montana, focusing on adults in a hospital rehab unit. The role requires clinical hours Monday through Friday with on-call coverage each night and involves diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as joint injections and nerve blocks. Candidates must have board certification or eligibility, relevant certifications, and Montana licensure or eligibility through IMLC.
We are currently seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician for a long-term locum tenens assignment in Montana. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified provider who can offer both scheduled clinical hours and call coverage. Position Details: Location: Near Ovando, MT Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing (with potential for extension) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (clinical hours) On-call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM each day Rounding in the inpatient rehab unit during shifts Patient Age Range: Adults Inpatient Care Only: No outpatient duties required Requirements: Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (or board eligibility with completion within a reasonable timeframe) Fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is preferred Active MT License or eligibility through IMLC Current BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required ABLS certification is also required Temporary privileges available EMR System: Cerner Job Responsibilities: Provide physical medicine and rehabilitation services to hospitalized patients Manage inpatient rehabilitation care, including assessments and treatment plans Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and more Provide on-call services during the night (5:00 PM 8:00 AM), with no weekend coverage Rounding and management of patients in the inpatient rehab unit Skills and Procedures Preferred: Experience with Traction/Immobilization Devices Proficiency in Injections (joint, trigger point, epidural, etc.) Knowledge in Electrical Stimulation, Wound Debridement, and EMG procedures Familiarity with Nerve Conduction Studies and Stress Reduction Techniques Additional Information: Call Coverage: Monday to Friday, with no weekend duties No admissions required Support Staff: Hospital staff will be available during the assignment Travel and Lodging: Provided and coordinated This assignment offers a great opportunity to work in a beautiful part of Montana, with the flexibility of ongoing coverage needs.
