Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring TN or compact licensure, EPIC proficiency, and ER holding experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Patients may require step-down care from ICU but do not require vent or pressor support
- Handles drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol initiation
- Provides telemetry monitoring and care
- Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15
- Floating within the hospital is required based on skill set
- Responsibilities include managing telemetry patients, administering specified drips, and performing sotolol initiation
- Nurses may float to other qualified units within the hospital
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Holiday coverage may be required during the assignment
- Eligible only if residence is at least 50 miles from the facility for night shift roles
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum one year of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele or related unit
- Minimum one year of experience with EPIC EMR required
- ER holding experience required
- Must provide two professional references
- Candidates for night shift must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible
