About the Opportunity We are actively seeking motivated and experienced Urgent Care Physicians to join our team on a locum tenens basis. You will play a vital role in delivering top-notch care to patients in an outpatient setting, ensuring timely diagnoses and effective treatment plans. What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments. Diagnose and treat a wide range of urgent medical conditions for patients 3 months old and upwards. Perform essential procedures as needed within the scope of urgent care practice. Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions. Prescribe medications and manage patient care plans effectively. Communicate clearly and collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Document medical records accurately and thoroughly to ensure clear communication for all healthcare providers involved. Who You Are Board certified in Family Medicine (BC/FM), Emergency Medicine (BC/EM), or Med-Peds. Active Texas medical license is mandatory. A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics is preferred. You possess strong clinical skills and experience managing a diverse range of urgent medical conditions in an outpatient setting. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork and patient interaction. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced environment is a must. A willingness to float between nearby clinics to support patient needs is highly valued. Schedule Locum tenens position (ASAP - Ongoing) Flexible schedule to accommodate weekdays (M-F 8am-8pm), Saturdays (8am-7pm), and Sundays (8am-5pm). Patient volume can vary, ranging from up to 35-40 patients per day in a 12-hour shift at busier locations. No call coverage required.
