This facility is a well-established healthcare system with a free-standing cancer center providing comprehensive oncology services to the Greenville community. The center features state-of-the-art technology and treatment options within a collaborative environment focused on patient-centered care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Oncology
Job Details:
• Practice in a free-standing cancer center with a collaborative team of 7 physicians and 6 APPs• Coverage needed due to loss of provider• No call required during locum period (permanent position would include call one week out of every 6-8 weeks)• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations• Practice includes 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology• Manage approximately 25 outpatient encounters daily• Hospital rounding involves approximately 20 patients per day• Work in both outpatient and inpatient oncology settings• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system• Participate in tumor board meetings• Manage bone marrow transplants and blood bank responsibilities• Order tests, images, and prescribe medications• Chemotherapy administered by nurse oncologists• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology required• Active SC license required (will accept providers needing to obtain license)• BLS and DEA certification required• Clean background check required• Current NPDB required for presentation• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days• Facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rate
