The Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive medical care including physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages under physician supervision. The role involves ordering diagnostic tests, monitoring treatment progress, and coordinating care with specialists while emphasizing patient-centered care. This position requires an advanced nursing degree, relevant certification, licensure, and clinical experience preferably in family or internal medicine.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The APP, under the supervision of the Physicians, is responsible for:
- Performs physical examinations of patients, assessment, and treatment of injuries or illnesses for pediatric through geriatric patients, including women s health
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
- Independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions
- Monitors the patient s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
- Collaborates with the physician supervisor and staff, as necessary, to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times, as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
- Enthusiastic team player
- Strong medical decision-making and communication skills

- Must demonstrate excellence in patient-focused medical care & delivery of care
- Master s degree in Nursing (FNP) or Physician Assistant studies
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical practice experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred
- Experience treating patients of all ages and a variety of acute & chronic conditions is highly preferred
- Current, valid Florida APRN or PA-C license
- Current, valid DEA license
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA (or equivalent) certification
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
- 4- or 5-day schedule, depending on practice location
- Minimal call
- Holiday rotation
