An Emergency Medicine Physician provides critical care to patients in rural hospital emergency departments, handling trauma and urgent medical situations efficiently. This role requires board certification and relevant life support certifications and involves managing approximately 21 patients per 12 or 24-hour shifts. The physician works closely with hospital staff using electronic medical records to deliver timely, lifesaving interventions in a supportive rural community setting.

Responsibilities:
- Shift Length: 12 or 24 hour shifts (8-8)
- Patient Volume: Approx. 21 patients/day
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Epic with Dragon Dictation
- Trauma Level: IV
Qualifications/Requirements
- License: Wisconsin
- DEA/CSR: Wisconsin DEA Required
- Board Certification: Will consider any board with ER experience (Ex: FM Board with ER Experience or EM Board)
- Life Supports: If EM boarded, must have proof of taking ATLS once. All others are waived. If FM boarded, must have all active life supports. ATLS or CALS-TM accepted for Trauma certification. Certifications are preferred to be completed via American Heart Assoc.
- Covid/Flu Vaccination: Preferred but not required
