Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a day shift position requiring current IL and IA licensure, with call and weekend requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work is based in the Operating Room within a hospital setting
- Day shifts starting at 6:30 AM, working 10-hour shifts
- Required to float to Moline, Bettendorf, or Muscatine campuses as needed
- Every 5th weekend coverage required: Saturday night and Sunday shifts
- 1-2 call shifts scheduled per week, typically from end of shift until 0630 or 1900
- Uses Epic for electronic medical records
- Participation on an interdisciplinary surgical team is expected
- Floating within the same discipline across affiliated campuses is required
- New hire orientation is 16 hours
- Must provide one supervisory reference from within the last 2 years
- Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
- Limited to 1 day off request during key holiday periods
- Candidates must have a taxable address at least 50 miles away from the facility
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
- Active IA RN license required, or proof of IA license application or Compact RN license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years prior OR nursing experience required
- At least 1 completed travel contract required
