Job Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team providing essential health services across the nation. This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to make a difference while enjoying flexible working conditions.
Our facilities offer two pathways for practice: either at a designated VES location or within your own office. If you choose the latter, your office must be located within a 50-mile radius of Houston, Indiana. We are currently seeking providers in Kokomo and Muncie for part-time availability of two days per week each.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct Compensation & Pension exams as well as separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluation, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete necessary documentation, including reports and addendums.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
- Utilize your own office space if applicable; maintain a professional environment for patient assessments.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular aspects.
- Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Active AANP certification and unrestricted full license in Indiana.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in general medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine is ideal.
- Must have a professional office space to see Veterans if opting for independent practice.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Indiana nursing license.
- AANP certification.
- Additional certifications should be current and properly documented.
