Job Title: Medical Director - Pediatric Hospitalist
Join a leading pediatric practice in the beautiful city of Hollister, California. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to serve as the Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. Located in a welcoming semi-rural community just minutes away from the stunning Monterey Bay, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive newborn care, emergency consults, and managing pediatric admissions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice.
- Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries.
- Conduct emergency room consults involving pediatric patients.
- Manage pediatric admissions of low acuity cases.
- Provide well newborn care at the hospital.
- Collaborate with the Level-III NICU at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose for newborns requiring intensive care.
- Work a full-time schedule of twelve 24-hour shifts per month with on-call responsibilities from home.
- Support a hospital with approximately 500 deliveries annually.

Qualifications:
- Current Board Certification in Pediatrics (BC Pediatrician) is required.
- Proven experience in inpatient hospital care.
- Clean malpractice and license history preferred.
- Willingness to relocate to the Hollister area is required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified Pediatrician.
- California Medical License.
- Current in-patient hospital experience.
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start).
