Patient Details
You'll be responsible for managing a caseload of 15 to 30 patients per day, primarily consisting of adults aged 18 years and older. As part of the medical direction team, you'll oversee general anesthesia cases and provide coverage for two satellite campuses. While the hospital bed size is substantial at 283, special procedures will not include hearts or newborn care, focusing instead on "bread and butter" cases.
Practice Setting
This opportunity is located within a hospital setting that is not designated as a Level 1 trauma center. Despite this, the role offers a diverse and engaging environment where you can apply your expertise in anesthesiology to positively impact patient outcomes.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must hold board certification in anesthesiology and possess an active state license in South Carolina. A minimum of two years of experience practicing medicine is necessary, along with a clean malpractice history. Preferred candidates will hold a South Carolina state license, although the credentialing timeframe can accommodate those without it.
