Job Title: Travel RN – MS/Tele (Oncology/PCU Focus)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS RN) for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in telemetry, oncology, and step-down care, with the ability to manage complex patient conditions and respond effectively in critical situations. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient-centered care, cardiac monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience (must be within the last 3 years)

  • At least 1 year of current specialty experience (required for clinical pass)

  • BLS certification required; ACLS and OCN preferred

  • Experience with Telemetry, MS/Tele, and PCU/Stepdown units

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response

    • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

    • Rapid Response/Code team protocols (preferred)

  • Experience in Telemetry Oncology (preferred)

  • Proficiency in:

    • IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration

    • Heparin protocols (preferred)

    • Blood product administration

    • Central line, PICC line, and port management

    • IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line care

  • Respiratory care experience including:

    • BiPAP/CPAP (preferred)

    • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Epic EMR system

  • Ability to screen for missing requirements and adapt to unit-specific equipment

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
