The Executive Leadership role is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and administrative leadership within an acute care hospital environment. This position oversees departmental performance, ensures regulatory compliance, supports organizational goals, and collaborates with senior leadership to drive quality, efficiency, and patient-centered outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities- Provide executive-level leadership and direction aligned with organizational mission and goals.
- Oversee operational performance, staffing strategy, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, department heads, and stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital policies.
- Monitor quality metrics, patient safety indicators, and operational outcomes.
- Lead change management initiatives and performance improvement projects.
- Support financial oversight, budgeting, and cost-control initiatives.
- Serve as a key decision-maker and escalation point for operational issues.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Average caseload: 5–8 IR procedures per day; CT prep and IV starts for approximately 50 patients daily.
- Common procedures include:
- IR-guided biopsies (breast, thyroid, soft tissue)
- Vascular interventions (embolizations, thrombectomies using INARI or EKOS systems)
- Drain placements (abscesses, pleural effusions, paracentesis)
- Pain management injections (cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine; joints)
- Line insertions (PICC lines, ports, tunneled catheters, permcaths)
- Dialysis access and fistula evaluations
- Equipment and documentation managed through Allscripts EMR.
- Strong leadership and organizational management skills
- Strategic planning and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Operational and financial acumen
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance standards
- Active RN license (state license required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare leadership or executive management experience in an acute care setting, with prior experience as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse.
- AHA - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
(PALS required; pediatric experience not mandatory) - Critical care experience preferred but not required
- Open to first-time travelers
- BSN not required
