About the Clinician's WorkdayThe assignment is for 3 or 6 months with the option to extend and requires 90 days for credentialing, though this may be faster for candidates already enrolled with Alabama Medicaid, which is highly preferred. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The role is for an MD only, who must collaborate with midlevel providers. Call duties are phone-only, routed through a service first, with providers typically receiving one to two calls per week. The physician will see about 20 pediatric patients per day. Required credentials include BC/BE in Pediatrics, an active Alabama medical license, DEA registration, and a flu vaccination. The clinic is supported by one physician, several midlevel providers, and medical assistants, and uses the ECW EMR system.
